TÜBİTAK 1501 Support for the R&D Project Involving Our Faculty Member Assoc Prof Hüseyin Güneş

An R&D project in the defense industry carried out by MECHASİM Technology Inc., operating within Balıkesir Technopark and involving our faculty member Assoc. Prof. Hüseyin Güneş from the Department of Computer Engineering together with Prof. Dr. Sabri Bıçakçı, has been awarded support under the TÜBİTAK 1501 Industrial R&D Projects Grant Programme.
The project, entitled Development of an Artificial Intelligence Assisted Virtual Reality VR Based EOD Training Evaluation and Simulation System, aims to develop an innovative training, evaluation, and simulation system for the defense industry by integrating artificial intelligence and virtual reality technologies.
Receiving support under the TÜBİTAK 1501 Programme represents an important achievement in bringing our faculty members’ R&D activities in artificial intelligence, simulation, and defense technologies together with industry and transforming academic expertise into technology oriented applications.
As the Department of Computer Engineering, we congratulate our faculty member Assoc. Prof. Hüseyin Güneş, Prof. Dr. Sabri Bıçakçı, MECHASİM Technology Inc., and the entire project team, and wish them continued success throughout the project.
