Doç. Dr. Hüseyin Güneş, a Faculty Member of Our Department, Participated in Technology and Collaboration Visits in China
MECHASIM Teknoloji A.Ş. visited several companies and technology organizations in China between September 21 and 29, 2026, to support research and development activities conducted under TÜBİTAK projects and strengthen international technology collaborations.
The program was attended by company partners Prof. Dr. Sabri Bıçakçı and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Güneş, alongside Sefa Şamdan, Plant Manager at OTSA Balıkesir. Meetings focused on R&D, manufacturing, and technology were held in Xining, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. Discussions in Xining resulted in the signing of a commercial cooperation agreement.
In Shanghai, the delegation visited an organization specializing in hydrogen-based energy and mobility technologies to examine their applications in drones and other unmanned platforms. Hydrogen-powered drones and motorcycles were tested, and their potential applications in ongoing projects were evaluated. Meetings were also held with a company developing advanced robotics technologies and autonomous platforms to discuss R&D, technology transfer, and opportunities for joint work.
In Guangzhou, the delegation visited companies developing computer hardware and advanced technology products. The potential use of these hardware and technology solutions in MECHASIM’s current and planned projects was explored.
The knowledge gained and connections established during these visits are expected to contribute to the company’s work in artificial intelligence, robotics, simulation, image processing, and unmanned systems, while laying the groundwork for new international collaborations.
