Digital Design Laboratory Project Exhibition Successfully Held
The 2025–2026 Digital Design Laboratory Project Exhibition, organized by the Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Balıkesir University, was successfully held, showcasing the projects developed by our students throughout the semester.
The exhibition was organized in two separate sessions according to the laboratory sections. Projects developed by Digital Design Laboratory Section B were presented on June 8, 2026, while Section A students showcased their work on June 9, 2026, in front of the Department of Computer Engineering classrooms.
Throughout the semester, our students transformed the theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom into practical engineering solutions. The exhibition featured a wide range of FPGA-based digital systems, counters, timers, traffic light controllers, digital clock applications, game designs, and various combinational and sequential logic circuit implementations. Students demonstrated the functionality of their projects and explained the design process, implementation details, and engineering challenges to visitors.
The event provided an excellent opportunity for students not only to demonstrate their technical and engineering competencies but also to strengthen their project development, teamwork, communication, and presentation skills. Faculty members and students visited the exhibition, examined the projects in detail, and provided valuable feedback to the project teams.
The Digital Design Laboratory Project Exhibition once again highlighted the importance of project-based and hands-on engineering education, allowing students to present the outcomes of their semester-long efforts in a professional academic environment.
The course was coordinated by Prof. Dr. Ayhan İstanbullu, with laboratory sessions supported by Research Assistant Mustafa Furkan Ceylan. They congratulated all participating students for their dedication, creativity, and successful project implementations throughout the semester.
