Explanation Regarding the Engineering Completion Programs Implementation
Based on the authority granted to the Higher Education Executive Board during its meeting on 13.04.2023, according to the 2023 Technical Teachers Engineering Completion Program Preference Guide, candidates will be placed in engineering undergraduate completion programs, and the following conditions apply:
- A candidate placed in the Engineering Completion Program will take the courses specified by the Engineering Completion Program Commission and listed in the annex in order to complete the program.
- Changes of up to 50% may be made to the courses determined for the completion program by the university senate.
- The language of instruction for the Engineering Completion Programs will be applied as specified in the guide.
- Students will pay the contribution fee and second education fees as stated in the preference guide.
- Graduates of the completion program will be given the title of “engineer” in the relevant fields, and their diplomas will be marked with the statement “Has gained the title of engineer by completing the completion program in accordance with Law No. 3795.”
- Students in the Engineering Completion Program will attend classes together with other students.
- In accordance with the decision made by the Higher Education Executive Board on 06/12/2017, students in the Engineering Completion Program will not be evaluated under the Special Student status. However, based on the Executive Board decision dated 05.09.2023, Engineering Completion students affected by the February 6th Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes from Adıyaman, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, and Malatya universities will be granted special student status in equivalent programs in other state universities with the same language of instruction, upon their request.
- Engineering Completion Program students will complete their studies within a maximum of 2 years; the duration spent in the foreign language preparatory class will not be included in this period.
- In accordance with the decision made by the Higher Education Executive Board on 18/10/2017, it will not be possible to register in two different Engineering Completion Programs simultaneously.
